Diane Drapkin, MSW, LCSW, is a psychotherapist specializing in the prevention and treatment of anxiety and depression during pregnancy and postpartum.

Diane is committed to providing support for mothers and their families within the community. She recognizes the individual struggles for women negotiating motherhood, and is passionate about providing access to this support regardless of barriers.

Diane has extensive clinical training focused on perinatal mood disorders, specifically the treatment of anxiety, depression, and birth trauma. Much of her practice focuses on counseling related to communication with your partner, balancing family and the return to work, and other postpartum stress points.

Diane is a mother of four who recognizes the needs of new mothers and their families. She has been working in Boulder with families since 1995. She was raised in Palo Alto, California, and attended UC Davis graduating with a BA in Sociology. She also has an MSW from the University of Denver.

Diane and her husband moved to Boulder 25 years ago, raising four kids of their own. During this time she worked for a range of agencies in and around Boulder providing counseling to families. This work provided her with significant experience working with families struggling with mental health and parenting issues. In her 10+ years working for Boulder County, she provided intensive in-home, client-centered emotional support.

She has much experience facilitating individual and family therapy, designed to strengthen family systems, increase family functioning, and promote a strength-based and relational focus.
